This drive is based on Perpendicular Magnetic Recording technology and has a capacity of 200 GB of data, the largest capacity of its class, using only 2 platters.The MK2035GSS weighs only 98grams and features lower power consumption compared to the traditional 3.5-inch HDDs.This new drive features the Tunneling Magneto Resistive (TMR) head technology, rather than Giant Magneto Resistive (GMT) head technology.The MK2035GSS drive offers enough capacity and features for portable recording and editing, gaming, music and other multimedia applications.
