The Cisco Multimode VDSL2 and ADSL2/ADSL2+ Enhanced High-Speed WAN Interface Cards (VDSL2 and ADSL2+ EHWICs) support DSL multimode, including very-high-speed VDSL2 and asymmetric ADSL2/ADSL2+. VDSL2 and ADSL2/ADSL2+ are supported on a single WAN interface, thus providing secure, cost-effective connectivity from small businesses to enterprise branch offices. This 1-port enhanced high-speed WAN interface card (EHWIC) supports multimode DSL (VDSL2 and ADSL2 /ADSL2+) over Plain Old Telephone System (POTS) and ISDN.
