It delivers increased performance on multi-processor systems by efficiently load-balancing CPU cores when used with Receive-Side Scaling (RSS) from Microsoft or Scalable I/O on Linux. It also provides centralized storage area network management at a lower cost than any other ISCSI solutions. It improves the application response time by pre-fetching the data from memory and avoiding cache misses with the Intel Direct Cache Access (DCA). The X520-DA2 can bypass the automatic moderation of time intervals between the interrupts based on the sensitivity of the incoming data and thus delivers low latency interrupts. Its header splits and replication in receive focuses the driver attention to the relevant part of the packet without the need to parse it. Get significantly improved I/O throughput and CPU usage with IPsec offload capability provided on the adapter instead of the software. The Virtual Machine Load Balancing (VLMB) keeps tabs on the traffic load balancing across the virtual switch, port, cable, or adapter failure.
